Spring is a time for new beginnings and a time to think about refreshing old spaces in new ways.  As I found myself wanting to create more efficient storage in my own home, I turned to Houzz where I came across some really neat home organization ideas and wanted to share them with you. While some of them  may not be immediately doable for me, I hope they will inspire you and  offer you some vision for your own home.

1) Under the Staircase Storage

I can’t think of a better way to use every last bit of space. The otherwise wasted space under the stairs here is converted into useable storage with these custom built drawers. You might consider a combination of drawers and cabinets, but no matter how the space is used you can’t go wrong with all this extra storage.

 2) Built-in Bathroom Linen Storage

This linen closet shelving is sleak and equipped with a place for all your bathroom supplies. The open design is not meant for someone who prefers to throw things behind a closet door. Instead it allows for a very pretty display and ready access to paper supplies, towels, toiletries, etc.  – all right at your finger tips.

3) Dressing Table/Bathroom Make-up Caddy

It  may be just a little caddy, but it’s a perfect little organizer to keep all your make-up neat, organized and accessible on your bathroom counter or dressing table.

4) Clean, Crisp and Organized Mudroom

I LOVE this mudroom and I’m going to make sure my next home has a space to do something like this. With the cubbies above, the space for footwear, the drawers and coat hooks, this design provides a homeowner with a place for all those things that often get left in the middle of the floor. The cream-colored, beaded paneling is a rich and pretty accent for any traditional style home.

5) Artist’s Creative Nook

This built-in art nook is the perfect space to indulge in your creative self. The bright blue peg board is not only functional with all the holes, but it also adds liveliness to a place where you want to be energized. The rods, baskets, hanging cups, lighting all add just the right touch and functionality to this eclectic work space.

6) Over the Door Storage

This does not have to be used in a laundry room. It works as a space saver for any room. As an over the door storage rack it offers an ideal way to maintain and keep altogether everything you need.

7) Garage Storage Solutions

My garage tends to turn into a dumping ground. The shelving and baskets featured in this garage organization photo provide a great way to keep all those things in your garage in its special place, and hopefully make it easy for everyone to ensure things get back where they belong.
