Building a custom home can be an exciting chapter in your life, but it can be stressful. The same is true for large-scale remodeling projects. Whether it’s the many decisions you’ll inevitably have to make, the potential for project delays or the challenge to stay within budget, the process might seem overwhelming. At Raven Homes, we seek to create the most positive customer experience that starts at our first meeting to help reduce any undue anxiety, and continues long after the home is completed.
Customer experience is the latest buzz in business and is defined as the sum total of all experiences a customer has with a seller throughout the entire duration of being a customer. Here is a peek at the four ‘E’s that Raven Homes employs to ensure a positive experience for our clients:
From the beginning, Raven Homes prides itself on educating a prospective customer. For most, this will be a first experience building a home. We bring our years of experience to you and take the time needed to ensure you understand what steps are involved in the process. We identify your objectives and provide our expertise and guide you through decisions related to design to ensure the home will meet your needs and your overall budget. We will share a project plan and walk you through the process from beginning to end.
Our goal is to create a contract that aims to avoid any surprises and outlines exactly what we will include in the home for the cost specified, including interior and exterior finishes, allowances (if appropriate), and timing. We also provide you with a list of suppliers where you will choose things like tile, lighting and plumbing fixtures. Anything above and beyond what is contracted requires a conversation, a decision on how to proceed and potentially a change order. All change orders must be approved by the client and you always know where you are at with the budget.
Building a home, in particular a custom home, requires time -- sometimes a year or longer. Planning for this helps with the timing of selling your current home (if needed) or scheduling your moving process. It’s important to keep in mind, however, that there will be things that come up that may affect the original timeline. Whether its modifications to the home along the way, backordered items that delay installation, weather blips or other unforeseen delays, that’s a part of life and any large-scale project. We will keep you informed throughout the process and, in the end, it will all be worth it when you move into your new dream home.
We take time to meet regularly on site to discuss how the building process is going and address any questions you might have. This ensures we keep the lines of communication open and allows us to build rapport with our clients. We’re in this together and our goal is to work together as partners. We’ll put you at ease through the process and work with you to smoothly mitigate problems and delays that may occur. Through this process we are confident that you will come to trust Raven Homes for the long term, well after your home is delivered.
We are committed to customer satisfaction, putting our customers first and providing you with an experience that is what you expect. So when you want to build your next home, renovate or pass our name along to a friend, you’ll remember Raven Homes and the positive experience you had.
